These lights simply are not bright enough to be worth while. Certainly not in the kitchen as advertised. One hint: if you do buy these, install them as close to the front of your cabinets as possible. That way the feeble light they produce might actually illuminate your work surface. The motion sensors are just about worthless, too. You have to actually touch the lights for them to come on, and because you are so close, you invariably trigger the dimmer and go right from the brightest setting to the dimmest.

Ever since I purchased this item I’ve been bombarded with “please rate your purchase” spam — at least ten messages! So there you go, here’s your stinking review! You can stop spamming me now!

This light is serving its purpose of getting light into the back corner of our closet but initially we couldn’t keep it stuck to the wall. Love the features – on-off motion sensor, multiple light settings, battery operated, but be warned that you may need to invest in better adhesive.

Just could not be happier with these – we painted our existing cabinets but they have no edge panel at the bottom to conceal lighting underneath but these are low profile enough that you don’t see when looking straight on. All our cabinets are broken up by windows and stove vent it would be a pain to hardwire – this is a great solution – we put on at night and they automatically turn off an hour later. Only downside is depending what I am reaching for on the counter they do turn on but easy off with wave of the hand – 3 settings, high, low and off and gives just enough light for us – not what I would call a ‘task’ light – more ambient but that was what we were looking for – installation was literally <5 minutes.

For those of you consider this and have any type of CREE flashlight, you will expect the lowest performance CREE LEDS on these undercabinet lights. The motion sensor I think by designed works when you’re wave 3-5 inches below it and i think if the range is further, then the light will go on and off as you’re working on the counter… a cluster of 3 for a standard 40 cabinets are very bright.. so for an average kitchen, you might need 2 to 3 sets of these… I agreed with another reviewer.. i can do without the dimmer function… it should be wax on wax off :-)

I like them and will buy more for other applications… I’m just not sure how long one set of battery will last… 1 hour auto off is a bit too long… i wish there is a setting for like 15m, 30m.. blah …

Will update to see how long the battery will last…
