I bought this lamp in hopes of using it to light up my staircase inside my house which has a skylight that receives a lot of light. Unfortunately, the solar cell isn’t efficient enough to do that. I really can’t figure out how it was intended to be used. The dragonfly pattern that it projects is great but that pattern is best seen indoors against walls and smooth surfaces. But it doesn’t work well indoors due to the solar cell. The single LED light inside doesn’t seem suited for outdoor light since it’s dim… any ambient light, such as from a street light, would drown it out.

    What I liked:

    ————

+ Nice dragonfly pattern is projected (if you can power up the battery enough with sunlight)

+ Galvanized steel frame is solid and doesn’t feel cheap

    + Weather-proof

+ Comes with an optional stake to drive it into soil or the lawn (but you probably won’t see any of the dragonfly pattern that way).

    What I didn’t like:

    ——————

    - Solar Cell didn’t work well for me (A bright skylight during summer should do the trick, but it doesn’t).

    - Single LED bulb inside is too dim

    Other Notes:

    —————–

    - If you have young kids, you may not want to use this light either outside or in a play area. The panels (with the dragonfly pattern) are glass and could be dangerous.

    - I wouldn’t use this in a driveway. I’ve had friends run over my driveway lights before. The glass panels here would make things worse.

Really like this solar light. Have it around our pool – looks great. Nice because it is solar and works great.

I have quite a few solar lights, but this is by far my favorite. I’ve had it for several months now. We have it in the center of a large table on our deck. It stays lit all night, and is a great conversation piece. The light it casts is white (not yellow, or blue as in photo).

This was really disappointing. Not only is its light produced by a positively miniscule LED that barely even glows, it stopped working altogether as soon as it became ineligible for return. Total waste of money.

I ordered .. I think 6 of these for my patio.. and they just light up every night.. casting dragon fly prints outward. Through rain, and everything.. every night, without fail.. they line my patio. I love em.
