I used these for the first time on a recent job and was pleased with their overall construction quality for the price. These can be used for new construction and pre-mounted prior to sheetrocking but I like to get a cleaner fit and avoid problems with trim rings by using an adjustable hole cutter to make the access holes the exact size for the light cans.
These cannot have insulation touching them so often prefer to get ones where I don’t have to worry about what I am going to actually find in the attic.

With all the new light cans it is not feasible to use the old grit hole saws and they make a mess anyway and I would rather not be coated in gypsum dust. Manufacturers used to provide installation information on cut-out sizes needed but now they just put a template in the box so it is nice to know that it does not matter what size hole I need to cut I can use my adjustable hole cutter.

I got these fixtures from Amazon because they had the best price, better than the home improvement stores in my area. installed easily in my outdoor soffits came complete with bulbs and baffles really a joy to work with when things do what they claim and all the instructions are easy to follow.

I am a industrial enginer and ave to say that this light at this price is the best eal you will find . I have used cooper lighting on many bids and specs for layout ,and for the price and quality you will not find a better light. I opened the bezzel to the max to except r30 series cfl flood light , but with the low heat and the fact you can purchase the r30 in a contractor pack for half the price. I also found that with the watt change you can run 3 of these compaired to a 60watt light and still save money.

I am a handyman in my neighborhood and I have bought nine of these lights for neighbor’s bathroom light remodel jobs.
These are great quality lights. I have priced lights at big hardware companies in my area and you can’t beat the price on these. The trim pieces alone can run $8-$12. Great product.
